Charles Kelley and Hillary Scott of Lady Antebellum perform in Indianapolis on April 5.

A Lady Antebellum tour bus tire caught fire on a Dallas-area highway Thursday, forcing a hurried but safe evacuation, according to social media posts by frontwoman Hillary Scott.

"Hey guys, we had a crazy morning on the way to Dallas today. Our bus tire caught on fire and we had to evacuate very quickly," Scott posted on Instagram and Twitter.

"EVERYONE IS SAFE AND SOUND. It was me, my husband, our tour manager, and driver. Thanking God for our safety and the safety of all of those who helped put this fire out and keep us safe. Love you all!!!! ~hillary"

Local media reports said Scott was on her way to Arlington for this weekend's Academy of Country Music Awards when one of the bus tires blew.

Police confirmed the mishap, which backed up traffic on Interstate 30.

Although no one was hurt, the bus was a mess, according to local TV pictures, and authorities said it would take several hours to clean up the highway.

Scott added another picture on Instagram of her Bible, saved from the fire with not one page burned. She said it was a sign, and that her faith was deepened as a result.

Later, Scott got a shout-out tweet from country star Jerrod Niemann, whose own tour bus exploded in flames just before he and his companions got out of it, in Chattanooga, Tenn., in 2012.
