CATAWBA COUNTY, N.C. — A child is in the hospital after being shot Friday evening just south of Hickory.
The Catawba County Sheriff's Office confirmed to WCNC Charlotte the boy was wounded as a result of the incident along Finger Bridge Road, just south of US-321. He was airlifted away for treatment.
While the sheriff's office confirmed those details, further information isn't being released since the investigation is ongoing.
