CHESTER COUNTY, S.C. — One person is dead after a crash involving a tractor-trailer in Chester County, according to South Carolina Highway Patrol.
The crash happened near Great Falls on I-77 north near mile marker 53 just after 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday. A 2001 Dodge pickup truck was headed north when it went off the road and hit a 2023 Volvo tractor-trailer that was stopped in the emergency lane.
The driver of the truck died in the crash. Neither of the occupants in the tractor-trailer was injured in the crash.
