Cloudy and cooler Friday with light rain, patchy drizzle

A big warm up arrives by late this weekend and early next week.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. —

Friday

Expect more clouds than sunshine today with highs struggling to reach the upper 60s and low 70s. Remember, it'll feel much cooler with the cloud cover, as the air temperature reading is taken in the shade.

A few spotty showers and areas of patchy drizzle are possible this afternoon. This will not be widespread. Overnight, mostly cloudy with lows in the mid 50s.

This Weekend

Saturday will be mostly cloudy with afternoon temperatures in the mid 70s with light wind. A stray shower is possible (less than 20%). Overnight, look for lows in the upper 50s to around 60 degrees.

Sunday should be a partly sunny day with no rain in the forecast. Temperatures will soar to the low 80s. Sunday night will remain mostly clear with lows in the 50s.

Pollen Report

Tree pollen is the main cause of high pollen levels for late April before these numbers begin to decrease in May.
