Rain done; Now time for the warm up

Today will be the coolest day until Wednesday. Highs get warmer through the weekend.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. —

Today

Clouds are now clear and sunshine takes over to end the day. Highs will be cooler in the mid 60s. A strong wind coming from the north will be gusting up to 25 mph in the Charlotte area and over 40 mph in the Mountains. This will be a cold wind. Lows tonight will be in the mid to upper 30s across the area. With winds still staying light to gentle, frost is not expected.

Friday

Skies will be mostly sunny, with highs reaching into the lower 70s. This will be a delightful day and winds will be a bit lighter than Thursday. Look for clear skies overnight with lows in the low 40s.

This Weekend

Saturday will be sunny and warm with highs in the mid 70s.  Skies will be clear overnight with lows in the low 50s.

Sunday will be unseasonably warm across the area.  Highs will be in the upper 70s to low 80s. The average high is 68 degrees.

The pollen count will steadily increase again,  over the next few days.  Trees continue to be the big problem, as is typical every year at this time.
