Much warmer into next week

Warming trend begins for both daytime highs and overnight lows.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. —

Tonight

Mostly cloudy skies this evening with a stray shower possible. Expect mild temperatures overnight with lows in the mid 50s under partly cloudy skies.

Tomorrow

A warming begins Sunday as temperatures return to the 80s. Expect more sunshine than cloud cover throughout the day with a light breeze from the southwest. Temperatures will top out near 80 during the afternoon. Mostly clear skies Sunday night into Monday morning.

Big Warm Up

Much warmer temperatures will continue into next week. Expect highs to rise above the seasonal averages for this time of year. Expect low-to-mid 80s for Monday through Wednesday and near 90 by the end of the week.

Although much of the week will remain hot and dry, watch for a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms Tuesday afternoon and evening. A late-week storm system could increase our shower and storm chances as we approach the weekend.

Pollen Report

Tree pollen is the main cause of high pollen levels for late April before these numbers begin to decrease by mid-May.
