Warm and cloudy this afternoon

Showers and a few storms several days this week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — After a perfect weekend, free from overly humid air, things now change for this coming week. Only one day is trending to be totally rain-free.

Today

It is a lot cloudier today but temperatures will still peak around a similar high to yesterday (upper 70s to low 80s). This weekend was a nice break from the humid air, but moisture values will be on the rise again today making it feel a lot more humid for the rest of the week. There's a chance of showers to end the afternoon and scattered this evening. Overnight and early tomorrow morning rain will be likely and it will be heavy at times.  Lows will be in the low 60s.

Tuesday

Have the umbrella ready for tomorrow morning. Rain is likely through most of the morning. It will be a cooler day, with highs struggling to reach 70°.  Rain is likely in the evening  and overnight with a few scattered thunderstorms.  Temperatures will fall into the low 60s.

Friday

Look for a mostly cloudy day with a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs will be in the low 80s.  Rain chances continue in the evening with lows overnight in the low 60s.
