Rain chances continue, hotter temps midweek

The unsettled pattern continues through most of the work week.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. —

Tonight

Partly cloudy with low rain chances overnight into Monday morning. Expect patchy fog during the pre-dawn hours along with temperatures in the mid 60s, making for a very mild start to your Monday. 

Tomorrow

Keep your umbrella on standby as you get ready for the first full week of May. The weather pattern remains unsettled with widely scattered showers and storms over the next few days. A slight chance for showers and storms on Monday primarily during the middle of the day. Temperatures should top out in the upper 70s and low 80s. 

Midweek

More showers and storms on Tuesday could impact the evening commute. Expect temperatures to warm into the mid 80s and even warmer on Wednesday as highs climb near 90. 

The midweek warm comes ahead of the cold front Thursday. The front is expected to drive up shower and storm chances Thursday into Friday followed by much cooler temperatures during the Wells Fargo Championship. Temperatures will remain below average in the mid 70s for Mother's Day weekend.

Tree pollen is the main cause of high pollen levels this time of year, but will slowly decrease throughout the month of May.
