Man hurt in east Charlotte stabbing, police say

One person was taken to a hospital after being stabbed in the parking lot of an east Charlotte hotel, CMPD said.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One person was injured in a stabbing in east Charlotte early Tuesday, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police said. 

According to CMPD, officers were called to a reported stabbing in the 7100 block of Albemarle Road, near the intersection with East W.T. Harris Boulevard. The victim was taken to a hospital by Medic. Their condition is unknown at this time. 

Detectives said it appears the man was stabbed in the parking lot of the InTown Suites hotel. CMPD has not released any suspect information or announced any arrests in this case. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
