Police identify woman stabbed and killed in northwest Charlotte

A male subject of interest was on the scene according to officers and has been taken to CMPD headquarters for questioning.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- CMPD is investigating after a woman was found stabbed to death early Saturday morning.

Authorities were called out to the 400 block of Honeywood Avenue in northwest Charlotte around 2:30 a.m. for an assault with a deadly weapon call.

The victim, 48-year-old Tracy Hudson-Glenn was pronounced dead at the scene by Medic. Police arrested Leigh McDaniel Jr., 45, with her murder.

Police said the suspect and victim did know each other.

CMPD is not currently searching for any other suspects.
