UNION COUNTY, N.C. – Nearly 200 people in Waxhaw lost power after a tree fell late Sunday.
Waxhaw Police tweeted that the tree fell on Kensington Drive in the area Waxhaw-Marvin Road near the South Carolina state line a little after 11 p.m. Sunday.
Union Power reported that 178 customers lost electricity as a result of the tree falling. Crews were able to restore power to all of those homes by 7:30 a.m.
