GASTON COUNTY, N.C. -- Authorities in Gaston County are asking for the public’s help finding a missing inmate.
According to the North Carolina Department of Public Safety, Thomas Walker was reported missing from the Gaston Correctional Center in Dallas late Thursday. He was last seen near the facility just before 11:30 p.m., officials said.
Walker is described as a white male with a thin build that stands approximately 5-foot-6 with brown hair and brown eyes. He was serving a sentence for larceny over $1,000 and was admitted to prison in August of 2014. He was scheduled for release this June.
