CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police arrested a man overnight in connection with a shooting that seriously injured a mother in University City earlier this month.

According to CMPD, Curtis Garyray Kerr, 35, is charged with attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, breaking and entering, and damage to property.

The incident happened on February 5 in the 1900 block of Wexford Meadows Lane. After responding to a reported shooting, officers found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
